Meet Our Therapists

Melodi Parker, M.Ed., LPC-S, NCC

CEO/Founder

Melodi is originally from Oklahoma and has been in Texas for over 10 years. She is married and has one son and understands it takes time to balance family, a career, and LIFE! Her counseling approach is Adlerian Therapy, which focuses on understanding the unique and inner beliefs to increase self-awareness. She specializes in working with families dealing with trauma, divorce and grief. Melodi also works with individuals suffering from depression, anger, anxiety, and provides parental consultation/workshops on Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Additional experience includes being a Certified School Counselor, Adult Mental Health First Aid Trainer, trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Brainspotting - Phase 1 and 2. Both EMDR and Brainspotting are effective for treating traumatic experiences.

Vicki Smith-Lockhart, M.Ed., LPC

Therapist

Vicki is originally from Dallas, Texas and has lived in Waxahachie with her family for the past 21 years. She is the owner and CEO of The Fashion Den Dallas and IMAGINE (I'm Made As Greatness Intended, No Excuses) WELL, Inc. Realizing that many people struggle with self esteem and a need to feel valued, Vicki opened the Fashion Den, a chic boutique featuring trendy clothing for women. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary modality for therapy, as well as EMDR, clients will move from stuck to fluid in their thoughts and behaviors. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults dealing with trauma and life's challenges. My goal is to provide clients with the keys to unlocking areas of their lives that cause despair.

 

Brittany Reynolds, M.S., LPC, NCC

Therapist

Brittany completed her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and certification in Contemporary Theory in Mental Health Services at Capella University in 2019. She has experience working with children to adults ages 6-65. who have various illnesses and disorders including General Anxiety, Schizophrenia to Substance Use Disorder. She has interned at behavioral hospitals and school based care in Georgia and Texas. Brittany uses evidence-based practices with a preference for Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, focused on listening to clients and helping them connect their thoughts and behaviors.  These therapeutic styles allow clients to set goals and achieve them. Clients will become personal problem solvers and have access to a new perspective on how to live a better quality of life. Brittany advocates to end the stigma of mental health illnesses and seeking counseling within the Black community. 

 

 

Rachel Stotts, M.A., LPC, NCC

Therapist

Rachel is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has been in Dallas for 10 years. Prior to transitioning to a Licensed Professional Counselor, she was an elementary school educator for 8 years. Her counseling approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on thought patterns and behaviors, as well as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Rachel offers trauma-informed care, and welcomes children, adolescents, and adults under 30, who are experiencing a variety of challenges. These challenges include stress, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, life transitions, and trauma.
